My inspection career began in South Africa’s power-generation industry, carrying out ultrasonic testing on in-service equipment and newly completed welds. Working in this demanding environment established the values that continue to guide me today: technical accuracy, thorough inspection and a strong commitment to safety.

I moved to New Zealand in mid-2015, spending my first year in a mechanical testing laboratory before settling in the South Island. Over the next decade, I worked with a range of inspection companies on projects throughout the South Island and across much of the North Island. My experience spans hands-on inspections, project coordination and operational management, giving me a practical understanding of both the technical work and the people who depend on it.

Following a workplace accident in 2026, I took the opportunity to reassess my future. With my wife’s encouragement and support, we established ONDTI, a consulting and inspection contracting business built on experience, integrity and dependable service.

ONDTI focuses on consulting and practical problem solving, helping clients understand inspection requirements, address technical challenges and identify workable solutions. Drawing on years of field and leadership experience, I bring a hands-on perspective to each challenge, with an emphasis on clear advice and sound technical judgement.

Through trusted industry relationships, I also provide inspection services under the following arrangements:

• Supreme Inspection Services — All IANZ-endorsed work, including pressure equipment, cranes, elevating work platforms (EWPs) and passenger ropeways.

• Weld and Pressure Inspections — Welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT).

• Marine Design and Survey Services — Part 49 crane inspections.

I bring international experience, extensive knowledge of New Zealand industry and a practical approach to every project. Whether providing advice, solving a technical problem or conducting an inspection, my commitment remains the same: thorough work, clear communication and reliable results that clients can trust.
